Auburn, New York

This is an interesting view of the New York Central's covered station in Auburn, New York. Postmarked 1908 and with minimal description, a search of historical information has been somewhat confusing with no real details. According to Wikipedia, the Auburn & Syracuse Railroad joined the Auburn and Rochester Railroad in August, 1850 to form the Rochester & Syracuse Railroad which then merged with the New York Central in 1853. The station seen here was built in 1895 (?) and may have been a replacement of the original structure .
