Through the Cascades

In this circa 1920s scene, a Milwaukee Road deluxe passenger train sails through a section of the Cascade Mountains in Washington. The train seen here, either "The Olympian" or "The Columbian", required heavy steam power to navigate the rugged passes along the route.
