Riding the St. Louis-Colorado Limited

The Union Pacific and the Wabash Railroads jointly operated a now-forgotten crack train from St. Louis to Denver named the St. Louis-Colorado Limited. Information on this train is a bit sketchy, however it was advertised in the June 18, 1909 edition of the Montreal Gazette as "One of America's Finest Trains". Serving St. Louis, Kansas City, and Denver, the St. Louis-Colorado Limited featured both observation and standard drawing room sleeping cars, chair cars, and a dining car. All cars and sleeping berths, by the way, were equipped with electric lighting. The ad also made a point of the route as having electric block signals and perfect track. The five postcard views below are from 1915.
