Easton, Pennsylvania

Information on the Easton station history is a bit thin, although the structure in this circa 1910 view was probably built in the 1880s. In 1929, it was replaced by the current and now abandoned station. Easton had been one of the first station locations since 1855 on the Lehigh Valley's Lehigh Line, the main line between Easton and Mauch Chunk. It was the also the site for the railroad's locomotive shops and dining car service facilities. Note the two camelback locomotives and the wood planking between the rails.
