Danbury, Connecticut

Once known as "Hat City" because of the number of hat manufacturers once located there, Danbury, Connecticut had a station stop right in town along the New York, New Haven & Hartford. In this circa 1910 composition, we view an early street crossing scene with an early type gate, accompanying sign, and the gate operator's "office". Note the number of wire arms on the poles.
