Early Santa Fe Mallet

In this circa 1910 card, an Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad early mallet-type locomotive puts in another claim that the subject locomotive is the "largest in the world.", a title fought over by different railroads over the years. This  is possibly one out of only two experimental 4-4-6-2 wheel arrangement locomotives ever erected by the Santa Fe shops as the road began to answer the call for heavier steam power.
