Lounge Car, Missouri Pacific Railroad

The "Sunshine Special" was the flagship passenger train of the Missouri Pacific Railroad from 1915 until 1948 when it was replaced by the new "Texas Eagle" running  between St. Louis, Missouri and San Antonio, Texas. Lodge-themed appointments seemed to be the design du jour for some lounge cars of various eras, and ours is seen here in this 1934 view. It's thought that scenes like the one below were staged with professional models; regular-folk passengers, perhaps, were a bit less-than-glamorous.
