Phillips and Rangeley, Maine, Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad

These  views are of the Phillips and Rangeley stations, circa 1915, on the famous Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad. The outcome of mergers with different two-foot gauge lines, the railroad began operating under its final name in 1908. Note size of the engine in relation to the switch stand and the interesting piece of rolling stock on the right in the first card. For more information on the SR&RL, click Here.
