Sayre, Pennsylvania Roundhouse, Lehigh Valley Railroad

The roundhouse at Sayre, Pennsylvania was the center of the Lehigh Valley Railroad. The giant complex in Sayre consisted of a yard, locomotive building and overhaul shops, a grand station built in 1888, and the roundhouse seen here in this circa 1910 postcard. Note the two camelback locomotives on the right. For other postcard views of shop facility, click Here. For a view of the Sayre station, click  Here.
