Waycross, Georgia Yards

In this pre-white border era card, we see the extensive Atlantic Coast Line Railroad's yard in Waycross, Georgia. Known for its ventilated door boxcars used for shipping produce, the doors provided fresh air for the cargo inside, as can be seen in the center. The white car appears to have ventilated end openings as well. Note the tank cars a few tracks away.
